Privacy Policy
Last updated:
This policy explains the information involved when you read the Bound By Insanity fan website, open its embedded game, watch an embedded video or contact us by email. The article pages and the third-party players have different roles, which we explain below.
Information on our reading pages
You can read Home, Characters, Endings and the Legal pages without creating an account. We do not provide registration, comments, ratings, payment, uploads, subscriptions or a contact form. We do not add site analytics, advertising or a reading-progress profile to these pages.
Ordinary requests for pages, images, fonts and scripts necessarily reach the host serving them. A request can include an IP address, browser and device information, the requested address and technical connection details. Hosting services may keep access or security logs; this website does not display those logs or turn them into a public visitor profile.
The embedded game
The game iframe is created only after you select Play Now. It loads the game from a separate host, which can receive connection information and make additional requests needed by that game. The game’s own menus, reading history and save functions belong to that embedded software, rather than an account on this fan website.
The game may use browser storage for its own settings or progress. We cannot inspect a player’s private save through our reading pages, promise that it survives clearing browser data, or transfer it between devices. Browser privacy settings, private browsing and changes to the game version can affect access to stored progress.
Embedded YouTube videos
The video player uses YouTube’s privacy-enhanced embedding domain and does not autoplay. It appears after the written article and is lazy loaded. When it approaches the browser’s loading range, your browser may contact YouTube before you press the video’s play button.
Privacy-enhanced embedding is not a promise that no information reaches a third party. Loading or using the player can involve connection, device and playback information, as well as further requests to services used by YouTube. Controls inside that player are provided by YouTube, and their behavior is separate from our article navigation.
Cookies and browser storage
The reading pages do not set a first-party account, analytics or reading-progress cookie, and do not use local storage to build a visitor profile. This statement applies to our page code. It does not describe every cookie or storage operation that an embedded game or video service may perform.
You can control cookies, site data and embedded content using your browser settings. Blocking a third-party player may leave the article readable while preventing that player from opening. Clearing storage can also remove a game’s local progress; save recovery is not guaranteed.
Information you send by email
Email is optional. If you write to the address on Contact Us, your message can include your email address, message content, attachments and technical information supplied by your email service. We use correspondence to understand and respond to the issue you raise, such as a page correction, an accessibility problem or a rights concern.
Please send only information needed to explain the issue. Do not send passwords, payment details, identity documents or private game saves. A short description of your browser, device and the affected page is usually enough for an initial technical report. Email delivery and message storage also depend on the email services involved.
Keeping information and handling requests
This site does not maintain a player-account database or a reading-history profile. Relevant correspondence may be kept while an issue is being handled and where it is needed to understand a follow-up or a rights dispute. We do not promise an automatic deletion schedule for messages or for records controlled by hosting, email, game or video providers.
You may contact us to ask about information you have sent, to correct it or to request deletion of correspondence within our control. Explain the message or issue you mean without sending unnecessary personal information. Available rights depend on applicable law; we may need reasonable information to identify a request. We cannot delete records held independently by a third-party provider.
Security and sensitive information
The website uses HTTPS URLs for its public identity and embedded services, and restricts the game player’s popup and top-navigation permissions. These controls do not make every device, network or third-party service risk free. Keep your browser updated and avoid including sensitive details in a support message.
The game discusses mature and disturbing fictional themes. This fan website is intended for adult readers and does not offer accounts or features for collecting information from children. A reader who does not wish to encounter that material should leave the game and avoid its story discussion.
Updates and privacy questions
We revise this policy when the website’s actual features or information handling change. The date shown above identifies the latest substantive page update; rebuilding the website alone does not refresh it. For questions about this policy or information you supplied, use the plain-text support address on Contact Us.
